Chelsea are facing issues in their attempts to bring Emerson Palmieri back from Lyon. The Ligue 1 club have turned down a £3.35m offer from the Blues to cut short the loan of the Italian, with Thomas Tuchel said to be keen to strengthen his options at left-back following the injury to Ben Chilwell (Fabrizio Romano, January 24); Chelsea are now in talks with Lyon about bringing Emerson Palmieri back to Stamford Bridge to provide cover for the injured Ben Chilwell (Daily Mail, January 11)
