Chelsea have held talks for out-of-contract Manchester United teenager Angel Gomes and are favourites to land the England Under-20 international.

That is according to a report in the Mirror, which claims Blues transfer chief Marina Granovskaia has held talks with Pini Zahavi, who has been hired as the midfielder’s new agent.


Gomes has featured just six times for United this season - falling behind fellow youngsters Mason Greenwood and Tatith Chong in first-team minutes - and is out of contract this summer.
