Three super strikers Chelsea should sign to replace current striker -Jamie Redknapp tells Chelsea to sign a ‘natural finisher’ if they want to win the Premier League again.

Image
JAMIE REDKNAPP blamed Chelsea’s missed opportunities on the lack of a ‘natural finisher’ and urged them to sign someone like Didier Drogba. The ex-Liverpool midfielder warned that Chelsea will not win the Premier League without someone like their legendary striker. Cristiano Ronaldo secured the draw with a stunning goal just two minutes after Marcos Alonso found the back of the net. Redknapp told Sky Sports: “I think Thomas Tuchel will think how have they not won this game. The amount of opportunities they had on the right side. “Werner’s not a natural finisher. Havertz, I love his movement.

How Chelsea could line up against Everton with Tuchel hoping for two players to win fitness battle and return to squad.

It was a tale of two headers at Anfield, as Andy Robertson and Toffees nemesis Divock Origi came up with the goods in the second 45 to leave Everton below the dotted line, but their survival destiny is technically still in their own hands heading into the final straight. While Lampard's side are sitting 18th at present, they are two points behind Burnley with one game in hand, although the Clarets could temporarily increase that gap to five in their relegation six-pointer with a hapless Watford side on Saturday. As the worst away side in the Premier League this season, Everton will certainly welcome a return to home comforts at Goodison Park, where they have taken seven points from the last nine on offer in clashes with Newcastle United, Manchester United and Leicester City in recent weeks. Ironically, the last time that Everton started a Premier League game in the relegation zone saw them run out 3-1 winners at home to Chelsea in December 2019, and Lampard has all the motivation...

Todd Boehly’s consortium has been chosen as the preferred bidder in the race to buy Chelsea from Roman Abramovich, despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe announcing that he had made a late offer worth more than £4bn. Sources around the process said on Friday that Boehly’s group had seen off competition from rival bidders. There has been no official confirmation from any of the parties involved in the sale but a decision is expected to be announced soon. Boehly’s consortium emerged as the likeliest to complete a takeover after Stephen Pagliuca’s consortium and Sir Martin Broughton’s group were informed they were out of the running.

I can't imagine what Chelsea would look like without this beast of a man - José Mourinho points out the most influential Chelsea star that has had the most impact on the club.

Since Chelsea Football Club was founded in 1905, a number of talented players have worn the famous blue jersey. Pure talent alone is not enough to be called a "great," there are other factors that add to this prestigious title. This list was difficult to compile, and I am sure there are others some of you would wish to include. Everyone at Chelsea loved Jimmy. And why wouldn't they? He averaged almost a goal every two games during his time at Chelsea. The Dutch striker is one of the most clinical finishers the Premier League has ever seen. Hasselbaink joined in 2000 and stayed for four years, in which time he made himself a fan favourite and is considered a Chelsea legend.

The name Chelsea is what I don't like - he give three possible name - Chelsea top four bidders gives shocking answer to this question "what will be your first action if you own the club".

Jules Kounde was established as one of Chelsea’s top targets last summer when it was all but confirmed that the club had made an offer for him which his club rejected. The fact that Sevilla rejected the offer seemed to upset him, and he hasn’t been at his very best this season, but he has at least maintained one very impressive stat. As Who Scored pointed out today, despite presumably being pretty distracted today, he’s still not made a single error leading to a goal in La Liga for Sevilla, in 91 games and counting. It’s a slightly flawed stat, but it gives you the right impression – Kounde is a very tidy player, unlike Diego Carlos, his boom or bust partner at the back. We’re sure Chelsea will be back in for him again this summer, and they don’t tend to miss twice when it comes to players they really want to buy.

I don't want to play for the blues - Thomas tuchel receives big turn down as Barcelona star rejects deal.

Chelsea are going to lose two of their first choice central defenders this summer, with both Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger heading out of the door – to Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. That’s going to leave them desperately short of defenders, without giving them any new funds to spend – so free transfers of their own would obviously be a priority. They appear to have tried for a player who had just one year left on his deal – but their efforts have come to nothing. ESPN have quotes from Ronald Araujo, long linked to the Blues, who admits he had major offers from the Premier League but ended up signing a new deal at the Nou Camp. “I had really big offers from abroad, but I’m happy at Barcelona,” the Uruguay international explained. That’s a blow for the Blues, who will now have to watch Araujo teaming up with Christensen at the back, potentially for years to come.

After what I have done for the team tuchel still put me on bench - with only two open spots on the starting XI against Everton tuchel most be very careful.

Thomas Tuchel has been handed two major injury boosts ahead of Thursday's clash with Everton Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that both N'Golo Kante and Trevoh Chalobah will be available for selection when Chelsea take on Everton in the Premier League on Thursday. The duo, who returned to training earlier this week, have both completed the last two sessions at Cobham and are likely to be on the bench at Stamford Bridge.

What was tuchel thinking "putting him on the field was wrong" - Glen Johnson questions Thomas tuchel's substitution against Man United.

Glen Johnson fears Chelsea are still struggling to get the best out of Romelu Lukaku after the club’s record signing was hauled off during the Club World Cup final. The former Inter striker scored the decisive goal in the semi final win over Al Hilal and opened the scoring against Palmeiras with a bullet header following a pinpoint Callum Hudson-Odoi cross. Lukaku struggled to make an impact thereafter and was dragged off on the hour mark and replaced by Timo Werner. Thomas Tuchel’s decision was ultimately vindicated when Kai Havertz settled the game deep in extra-time with a nerveless penalty. But with the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on the horizon and the Champions League to contend with, Johnson fears his old club will struggle to achieve their goals unless Lukaku’s full potential is unlocked.

He is the next Didier Drogba - Jamie Redknapp urges Thomas Tuchel to sign 21 year old Italian strick.

Jamie Redknapp urges Thomas Tuchel to sign the next Didier Drogba for Chelsea. Jamie Redknapp says Chelsea will not challenge for the Premier League title until they find a clinical finisher like Didier Drogba. On Thursday night, the Blues drew 1-1 against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League but failed to convert numerous chances to win the game. This season, Chelsea have struggled to score goals with £100 million signing Romelu Lukaku in a rut since joining from Inter Milan last summer. Redknapp, the former Liverpool midfielder, thinks Chelsea’s inability to get the winner against United displayed how Thomas Tuchel’s side desperately need an in-form striker. He said on Sky Sports: ‘I think Thomas Tuchel will think how have they not won this game. The amount of opportunities they had on the right side. They felt Romelu Lukaku was going to be the missing piece to the jigsaw, the man who would get them 20, 25 goals to elevate them to the title race and it hasn’t...

‘One of the best to have ever walked on planet Earth’ – former Chelsea star compares Roma boss Jose Mourinho to tuchel.

Roma striker Tammy Abraham has heaped praise on his manager Jose Mourinho, describing him as, ‘one of the best coaches ever.’ Abraham left Chelsea for Roma last summer after being deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Romelu Lukaku and it was Mourinho who helped convince the 24-year-old to move to the Serie A side. It was a risk, but the £36million transfer has worked out very well so far, with Abraham scoring 24 goals and making five assists across all competitions. His efforts have also helped Roma to the Europa Conference League semi-finals, where they will play Leicester City on Thursday night. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Abraham highlighted the impact Mourinho has had on him this season, saying: ‘He knows how to really drive you, and this is what I needed. He’s one of them managers who doesn’t have to tell you how good you are and how good you played. He always wants more and for me and the players this is the perfect mana...

Thomas Tuchel: Chelsea mistakes costing players 'self-confidence and belief' Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admits the number of mistakes made by his players is affecting their confidence amid suggestions that his side could be dragged into a top-four battle. The Blues' miserable run of form continued on Wednesday when they were beaten 4-2 by Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. That result means that both the fifth-placed Gunners and fourth-placed Tottenham are five points behind Chelsea in third, though they have both played a game more than their west London foes. Speaking to the media ahead of Sunday's clash with West Ham, Tuchel admitted the sheer volume of errors his players were making is a concern, and revealed he is never comfortable in the Premier League - a viewpoint that has to be shared across the board. "I'm worried about the number of mistakes," Tuchel said. "In the year 2022, we already had eight big mistakes that led to goals. This is very untypic...

This mistake is on Thomas tuchel - Terry goes mad as the news hits him about the exit of a perfect CB.

Terry devastated as Rudiger prepares to leave Chelsea: 'How have we let this man go' John Terry has been left devastated by Chelsea letting Antonio Rudiger leave the club at the end of the season, with the Blues legend voicing his frustration on social media. Rudiger has been a key member of Chelsea's squad since his £29 million ($37m) move to Stamford Bridge from Roma in July 2017, racking up 196 appearances for the club in all competitions. The 29-year-old has won five trophies in west London to date, including UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup honours this season, but will move on to a new challenge when his contract expires in June.

I don't have a single worry about rudiger's exit - Chelsea boss confident as he has made three changes to handle the matter.

Rudiger's Real Madrid exit shows Tuchel can't stem Chelsea's ownership crisis any longer The German has coped admirably in difficult circumstances but the club's transfer plans are now being seriously impacted by government sanctions Thomas Tuchel did wonderfully well to initially block out the impact of the sanctions placed upon Chelsea following Russia's invasion of Ukraine but now it feels like the ownership chaos is finally catching up with the club.  The uncertainty which has surrounded Stamford Bridge since the United Kingdom government decided to punish Roman Abramovich for his ties to the Kremlin is now evident on the pitch. A once solid side is now leaking goals, as underlined by the dreadful defensive displays in the recent home defeats by Brentford, Real Madrid and Arsenal. Tuchel is now longer sure whom he can count on. After last week's dire 4-2 defeat to Arsenal, the Blues boss said that he had got his starting line-up all wrong, which is believe...

Chelsea analysis after the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League End of story. None of the edging 55% towards James being a wing-back and 45% towards being part of Chelsea's back three. He is a wing-back. If his six goals and seven assists over the course of the season were not telling enough of his contributions from the right flank, then his match-leading 112 touches perhaps should be. The former Wigan loanee put in tantalising deliveries again and again, menacingly across the six-yard line, and was rampant up and down the right side. Thomas Tuchel has been able to call upon fine replacements in the form of Cesar Azpilicueta and Ruben Loftus-Cheek but the difference his first choice selection makes is telling. Of course, James is capable of playing on the right side of a back three but if that is seen as necessary then it `becomes necessary to find a player who could bring the qualities James does to that role - so the 22-year-old can thrive o...

No one should ever say his not a good coach - Havertz openly admit that Chelsea boss has changed his life.

Havertz on what makes Tuchel one of the best and why we shouldn’t underestimate Man United Kai Havertz believes he is working with one of the best in the business under Thomas Tuchel and has reiterated how happy he is with life at Chelsea as we prepare for our latest assignment away at Manchester United. The 22-year-old is enjoying a productive second season in English football and recently netted his 16th goal of the campaign for club and country in our 6-0 win against Southampton. Following a challenging start to life in south-west London, the German now feels at home both on and off the pitch, thriving in a new central striker role for the Blues. His growing impact on the team has been noticeable in recent months and Tuchel’s man-management skills have clearly played a big part in that. ‘I have a long road ahead so let’s see what the next years bring to me,’ said Havertz this week. ‘I love the club, I love the city and I’m very comfortable here. The team is very nice and the coach i...

Man United will need to play 22 men against Chelsea's 11 to even draw - Gary Neville reveals man united's all round problem.

Gary Neville and Ian Wright believe that Manchester United are a team that roll over too easily ahead of this evening's clash. Chelsea haven't won at Old Trafford in nine years, and Thomas Tuchel will be keen to set the record straight. The Blues come into the tie having won four of their last five games across all competitions, with triumphs against Real Madrid in the Champions League, Cyrstal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final, and Southampton and West Ham. Meanwhile, Ralf Rangnick's side, who welcome the west London to their home turf, have won just once in their last five clashes; the only win came against Norwich who sit bottom of the Premier League.

Am giving you a chance to prove your self - tuchel tells promising youngster to “get ready for an opportunity to play with the big boys.

Chelsea are in a bit of a situation right now and that is even before mentioning the ownership takeover story. We are in danger of losing three of our main defenders in our senior squad this summer with two of them all but having their futures confirmed by solid reports. It doesn’t look like Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen will be staying, with both looking likely to have already agreed pre-deals to go to La Liga, and captain Cesar Azpilicueta could most certainly be following them along at the end of the season. Some huge gaps to fill in the squad this summer, and we surely will have to look at returning loanees to plug some of those holes to save money. Plus also, shock, horror, some of them are actually more than good enough. Dujon Sterling is certainly one of them, and according to Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea have already told him to get ready for pre-season with them due to the current situation.

keeping me on bench will not solve Chelsea's attacking problem - young star blast tuchel - I deserve a spot on Chelsea starting XI against Manchester United.

“When I saw it, I thought maybe Reece was in the England water polo team!” Tuchel said at his press conference on Friday. “Reece is training in the pool right now. I understood he was selected for the football team. This will not happen. My understanding is he will not go. It can only be a misunderstanding, nothing else.” Thomas Tuchel has expressed his surprise that Reece James was named in the England squad, with the Chelsea boss jokingly saying he thought it was to play water polo as his injured defender is restricted to work in the swimming pool. England boss Gareth Southgate named James in his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers with Andorra and Hungary. The news came as a surprise to Tuchel, who has confirmed the defender will not be released as James is currently nursing an ankle injury he picked up against Manchester City last weekend and will not be involved against Southampton on Saturday.

He does not have the consistency we need " we can't afford mistakes" - Thomas admits clearly - I can only put him on field on one condition.

Thomas Tuchel has confirmed the Chelsea team news to face Manchester United in the Premier League on Thursday night. Chelsea head to Old Trafford with a boost after a 1-0 win against West Ham ended a run of three home defeats in a row.  Their record away to Manchester United doesn't make for good reading - their last win came in 2013 and the Blues will be keen to end their winless nine-year run with a win in midweek. Tuchel was given a lift on Tuesday after Antonio Rudiger and Reece James returned to team training ahead of the league clash. In his pre-match press conference, Tuchel confirmed both could be available for selection to face Ralf Rangnick's side if they complete the final training session without any issues. "Toni was in training yesterday, the same for Reece James," said Tuchel. "We have another training coming. Hopefully they can do the full training and give us the green light. We hope they can be in the squad and play tomorrow."

Am a star I don't want to play as a substitute - Chelsea star admits he has earned his place in the club and deserve to be in the starting XI against Manchester city.

Chelsea are right back into the thick of the action this Thursday night as they travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the mid-week Premier League match. Both sides have struggled with inconsistency this season but it is Chelsea who are in a much more comfortable spot in the league heading for Champions League qualification once again. Things are looking a little more bleak for United right now after some poor form. They’ve only won one of their last six matches and facing Chelsea will be a tough task. It”l be far from easy for Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel as well though, and Tuchel will need all his players on their game to come through with a win at a tough stadium to go to. I believe that Romelu Lukaku and Christian Pulisic did enough in the last match to warrant a start, and the form of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz in the last couple of matches have dipped, so I think they come out. Antonio Rudiger and Reece James are back training so they get the nod if deemed fit e...
